Wonderful! Thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge. Listening to your podcast has helped me rediscover my courage to face and deal with my debt (just got rejected from the bank for a consolidation loan due to negative net worth, so I'm on my own to figure out my repayment plan). I don't think I gave up my dream of homesteading but my motivation took a blow knowing that I can only rely on myself. I too believe that paying back the smallest debt first is more motivating. After I listened to your podcast, I re-worked a 3 year budget and repayment plan of debt. I have a fixed disability income, so I'm able to project a realistic budget.

Funny you mentioned the new tire example...I've been saving 3 months for new front brakes that are being done next Thursday...I have no emergency fund which stresses me beyond belief...that is now changing! Thanks for mentioning David Ramsay, I checked him out and will be doing more reading on that subject.

I stumbled on your podcast through a search and I'll be listening to all of your previous ones. The audio is great and you both seem so lovely. Again, thanks for sharing!
